The story behind Ashé Legacy Builders.

After retiring, I accepted another job, believing I had found a place where I could continue contributing and growing. Then, just two weeks before Christmas, I was unexpectedly let go.

That moment changed everything.

I realized I never wanted another person or company to determine whether I could pay my rent, my mortgage, or support my family.

With more than 25 years of experience in business, entrepreneurship, leadership, and problem-solving, I knew I had knowledge that could help others create opportunities for themselves.

I also recognized that many people are never taught the practical skills needed to build something of their own.

• Some are young adults entering adulthood without guidance.
• Some are older adults trying to adapt to a changing digital world.
• Some are people rebuilding their lives after making mistakes and carrying the weight of a criminal record. Stable employment can be difficult to find, but entrepreneurship can offer another path. Learning a skill, refining a talent, and turning it into income can restore confidence, independence, and purpose.

I also know that many Black entrepreneurs face barriers that others do not. Access to resources, mentorship, and business education has not always been equally available.

Ashé Legacy Builders was created to help close that gap.

My goal isn't to hand people success.

My goal is to teach them how to build it for themselves.

I believe lasting wealth begins with education, ownership, and self-reliance. If I can teach someone how to create opportunities instead of waiting for them, I've helped create something that can impact generations.
